Michael Wampler began his mortgage career in 2005, gaining hands-on experience at both a national bank and a local mortgage brokerage. Frustrated by outdated processes and misaligned priorities, he set out to build a better model—one centered on transparency, efficiency, and the consumer experience.
In 2008, he founded MJW Financial LLC with a vision to offer low rates, clear terms, and a modern, streamlined lending process. Today, under Michael’s leadership, MJW Financial has become one of the fastest-growing mortgage companies in the Midwest.
Michael brings deep expertise across the full spectrum of mortgage lending, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, jumbo, non-QM, and portfolio products. He is also a strong advocate for leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance both the client experience and operational efficiency.
At the heart of Michael’s leadership philosophy is a simple but powerful belief: loan officers are internal customers. By treating them with the same level of care and responsiveness that MJW offers to homebuyers, he fosters a culture where exceptional service is not just encouraged—it’s embedded. As CEO, he oversees all aspects of operations, strategic growth, and innovation. Michael is also the founder of the MJW Foundation, which supports housing access, financial education, and underserved communities throughout Indiana.
A proud Indianapolis resident, Michael remains actively involved in the local community. Outside of work, he’s an avid traveler who enjoys exploring new cultures, meeting people from around the world, and encountering wildlife in its natural environment.
